Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is a full-time, on-site role responsible for supporting and advancing the media and marketing efforts of Encounter Ministries. Reporting to the Director of Media and Marketing, this person will help execute strategic marketing initiatives that increase visibility, generate leads, promote events and programs, strengthen donor and community engagement, and ensure clear, mission-centered communication across digital, print, email, and social platforms. The role requires a creative, organized, and data-driven professional who can manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively with staff, and contribute to a strong Catholic brand presence consistent with the mission and values of Encounter Ministries.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing - Under the direction of the Director of Media and Marketing, the ideal candidate will manage and execute the Encounter Ministries' strategic media and marketing plan, including:
Digital Marketing & SEO: Manage website content and SEO strategy to improve visibility, grow organic traffic, and ensure a welcoming, user-friendly online presence.
Social Media Ads: Working with the Social Media Manager for impactful content creation, oversee paid ad campaigns on social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and track advertising campaigns across digital, print, and social platforms that align with Catholic values and effectively reach target audiences.
Email Marketing: Design, schedule, and analyze email campaigns to nurture relationships, generate leads, and share impact stories.
Lead Generation: Implement strategies to capture and convert new leads for programs, events, and donor engagement.
Content Creation: Assist in the development of messaging and visuals consistent with our mission for use in newsletters, campaigns, landing pages, and promotional materials.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and social insights, reporting results to leadership and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Collaboration: Work closely with ministry leaders, program directors, and development staff to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
Community Engagement: Identify opportunities to promote events, partnerships, and external volunteer promotion opportunities.
Qualifications
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with a non-profit or faith-based organization.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, etc.) and SEO best practices.
Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
Familiarity with CRM and lead management systems a plus.
Basic skills in cameras, photography, and videography.
Strong written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Some experience with WordPress and website management.
Ability to balance creativity with data-driven strategy.
Essential Requirements
Active Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.
Knowledge and confidence in using Adobe CC graphic and video design programs.
Demonstrated use of professional communication, grammar, and writing skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships.
Confidence in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve efficiently and master needed technology.
Ability to effectively communicate and live out Encounter's mission and values.
Agreement that this is an "at-will" position that may be reviewed and revised to meet the current needs of Encounter Ministries.
Review & Growth
This role will include periodic reviews with the Executive Director, and the scope of responsibilities may be adjusted as needed to support the evolving needs of Encounter Ministries.
