CLEV Program Coordinator (Laity & Family) Job Description

FLSA Classification: Exempt

The Program Coordinator is a member of the Laity & Family Team, comprised of the Offices for Laity & Family and Youth & Young Adult Ministries, and will help organize and implement their programmatic efforts while also assisting pastors and lay leaders in their pastoral efforts to serve and support the faithful in their communities. The Program Coordinator Reports to the Director of the Office for Laity & Family, who serves as Team Leader.
The successful candidate will meet most of the following criteria and is expected to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below. The starting salary is $50,000 per year.

General Responsibilities
• Support, contribute to, and advocate for all entities and initiatives under the responsibility of the Laity & Family Team.
• Actively cultivate, develop, and collaborate with stakeholders on parish-based ministries and resources.
• Create content and promotional materials that meet the needs of parishes, families, and individuals through various communication platforms.
• Carry out the appropriate administrative responsibilities incumbent to the position.
• Foster collaborative opportunities between the offices of the Laity & Family Team and other offices within the Secretariat for Catholic Life & Evangelization, as well as other departments and organizations within the Diocese.

Specific Responsibilities
• Manage all logistics for Marriage Preparation Conferences, including scheduling, registrations, communications, and materials.
• Prepare and enter financial data (invoices, receipts, etc.) into the Diocesan financial system related to the Laity & Family Team

Qualifications
• Holds a bachelor's degree relevant to Catholic pastoral ministry.
• Has at least two years of experience in a similar role at the parish or diocesan level.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Communicates effectively in writing and in person with business partners, parishioners, staff, and other diocesan employees.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using the Microsoft Office 365 suite, web browsers, and other software common to an office environment like email, calendaring, instant messaging, project/event management tools, etc.
• Experience coordinating events and programs (preferred)
• Experience coordinating volunteers and committees (preferred)
• Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish (preferred)

Working Environment
The program coordinator works in a combined office and event-based environment that requires sitting, standing, and walking, which necessitates:
• nights and weekends at the Diocesan Center or at locations around the Diocese;
• the ability to lift to 30 lbs. and load/unload vehicles;
• a valid driver's license.
On occasion, the Program Coordinator will be required to assist with events, initiatives, and tasks beyond the scope of the Laity & Family Team for the greater benefit of the Secretariat of Catholic Life & Evangelization and the Diocese of Harrisburg.
