Job Description

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Parish in Pompano Beach, Florida has an opening for a Part-time Receptionist for the Parish Office. This person will work at the reception desk and provide support for the parish as needed. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the vision, mission, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

Responsibilities include:
Provide exemplary customer service to visitors, parishioners, employees, and others who contact the parish by phone, in person, and by e-mail.
Provide callers with answers to basic questions on Mass schedule, parish activities, and the reception of sacraments; transfer calls to the appropriate party and take messages as needed.
Perform clerical duties such as accepting and distributing mail and packages; recording mass intentions; issuing sacramental certificates; registering new parishioners.
Work with the parish groups as needed.
Other duties as assigned by Pastor.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED and one-year administrative experience in a customer-service environment with phone system.
Friendly, with excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
Must demonstrate a positive, welcoming, and service oriented disposition.
Knowledgeable about and supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
Good computer literacy skills, including Outlook & MS Word.
Strong oral and written English and Spanish language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Must be able to always maintain strict confidentiality.
Must have a professional demeanor.
