Job Description
St. Eugene and St. Monica Parishes located in the greater Milwaukee area, are seeking a faith-filled, energetic, passionate, and relational youth minister to join our Religious Education team. The ideal candidate will have a heart for youth evangelization and the ability to engage middle and high school students, offering them meaningful opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ. This position reports to the Director of Religious Education and works in close collaboration with the Religious Education team to support a unified vision of formation and spiritual growth.Key Responsibilities:
Serve under the direction of the Director of Religious Education to address the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs of youth in grades 6-12.
Collaborate with the religious education team to plan and implement youth formation programs.
Organize and lead engaging activities such as study nights, leadership groups, retreats, Catholic youth conferences, mission trips, and social outings.
Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers and catechists involved in youth ministry.
Coordinate the sacramental preparation and requirements for Confirmation.
Qualifications:
A strong and vibrant Catholic faith that is active, intentional, and inspiring to youth.
Proven ability to build relationships and minister effectively to middle and high school students.
Prior experience in youth ministry, missionary work, or internships at a parish or Catholic organization is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with staff, parents, volunteers, and parishioners.
Must be compliant with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Safe Environment certification requirements.
Solid knowledge of Catholic teachings and scripture.
A valid driver's license is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Compensation & Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
Year-round, exempt position
