Job Description
Bishop Baraga Catholic School is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher to join their team in Iron Mountain, MI. As a 2nd Grade Teacher, you are responsible for teaching all subjects including reading, writing, math, science, social studies, handwriting, English grammar, and religion.WHAT WE OFFER.
Competitive annual salary of $30,000 - $40,000 commensurate with education and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Teach a classical second-grade curriculum adopted by the Diocese of Marquette, including any additional programs adopted by the Bishop Baraga Catholic School.
Instruct students in accordance with the magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church using the approved religious education curriculum.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons to support academic success.
Maintain effective classroom management strategies.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' academic, social, and behavioral progress.
Participate in school-provided professional development opportunities.
Attend all required staff meetings and school functions.
Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Faculty Handbook and the Diocese of Marquette Personnel Policy Manual.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Bachelor's degree in elementary education preferred.
Michigan teaching certificate (or equivalent certification in another state).
Practicing Catholic preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to complete fingerprint scan, federally mandated background check, and VIRTUS training.
