Job Description
The Bookkeeper Assistant supports the financial operations of a mission-driven Catholic organization dedicated to producing high-quality educational and publishing resources. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, clarity, and integrity in day-to-day financial processes. Working closely with the finance teams, the Bookkeeper Assistant helps maintain reliable records and contributes to the responsible stewardship that makes the organization's mission possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, values precision, and wants to contribute their skills to an organization with a clear sense of purpose.**This role is a hybrid position with 3 days in our Nashua, New Hampshire office and 2 days remote.**
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Processing invoices, payments, and deposits
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
- Maintaining accurate and well-organized records
- Preparing documentation for audits and year-end reporting
- Communicating with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Helping improve and document financial processes for clarity and efficiency
Desired Skills and Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and reliability
- Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and financial software
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new systems and procedures
- Prior bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or finance support experience preferred
