POSITION OVERVIEW
Archbishop Wood High School is seeking a dynamic, strategic, mission-driven, and highly creative professional to serve as the school's Director of Marketing & Communications.

This is a multi-platform institutional marketing leadership position responsible for elevating and strengthening the Archbishop Wood brand across enrollment, advancement, alumni engagement, student life, Catholic identity, and community reputation.

The Director of Marketing & Communications will play a critical role in helping Archbishop Wood continue its strategic growth and transformation as a premier Catholic high school focused on developing future leaders in mind, body, and soul.

This individual will serve as "The Chief Storyteller and Brand Builder of Archbishop Wood."
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
• Promoting Catholic identity and mission
• Strengthening and clarifying the Archbishop Wood brand
• Increasing enrollment and retention
• Supporting advancement and fundraising initiatives
• Elevating the school's visibility and reputation
• Reinforcing the "You Fit Here" message
• Showcasing leadership development opportunities
• Supporting all unique programs at Archbishop Wood including but not limited to the Pope Leo XIV Institute for Servant Leadership, the St. Thomas More Honors Cohort, and the St. Joseph Program for Learning Support
• Supporting internal communications efforts that strengthen school culture, faculty engagement, and community connection

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Institutional Branding & Strategic Marketing
• Ensure all communications reflect the mission, Catholic identity, and core values of Archbishop Wood High School
• Develop and execute a comprehensive institutional marketing and communications strategy
• Serve as steward of the Archbishop Wood brand, voice, image, and storytelling strategy
• Ensure consistent branding across all digital , print, and event communications
• Strengthen messaging around "Why Wood?" and "You Fit Here"
Enrollment Marketing & Student Recruitment
• Support Open Houses, Shadow Days, admissions events, feeder school engagement, and parish outreach
• Create compelling prospective student and parent journey communications
• Leverage Finalsite website marketing capabilities, particularly its integration with the Finalsite Enrollment system, to support enrollment growth and lead management
• Follow up on leads generated from organic and paid social media advertising campaigns to help drive enrollment opportunities
• Utilize social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, and demographic targeting strategies to identify and leverage enrollment opportunities within untapped zip code markets
• Support digital advertising and enrollment funnel initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Admissions, Advancement, Student Services, Athletics, and Academic Departments to promote the full Archbishop Wood experience

Advancement & Alumni Communications

• Support Annual Fund initiatives, alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and fundraising events
• Capture and communicate alumni stories that support and provide examples of the Tradition of Excellence at Archbishop Wood
• Assist in promoting strategic school initiatives and partnerships

Digital Communications & Social Media

• Manage website, social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns
• Develop and execute a strategic content calendar
• Create original content including graphics, photos, videos, reels, and written storytelling pieces
• Support Viking Views content creation and publication, as well as the publication of the Viking Society Newsletter
• Monitor analytics and engagement metrics

Photography, Video & Storytelling

• Attend school events to capture photos and video content, including evening and weekend events
• Produce engaging multimedia content that reflects the Archbishop Wood experience
• Willingness to engage and capture student events, activities, and stories as they happen both at Archbishop Wood and throughout the community
• Willingness to travel to events and locations to capture compelling stories and content
• Work collaboratively with athletic team photographers, student media contributors, and social media creators to leverage marketing opportunities and maintain brand consistency
• Maintain a photo and video library

Communications & Public Relations

• Draft announcements and promotional materials
• Build relationships with local media and community organizations
• Ensure communications reflect the mission and Catholic identity of Archbishop Wood

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, or related field
• 3-7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, branding, or digital media
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with digital marketing, social media strategy, photography/videography, and website management
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Must support the Catholic Identity and mission of Archbishop Wood High School
• Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Use data analytics and engagement metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, portfolio strength, and demonstrated marketing leadership capabilities.
